O s\u00edtio arqueol\u00f3gico das Itacoatiaras do Ing\u00e1, um dos mais importantes patrim\u00f4nios hist\u00f3ricos e culturais da Para\u00edba, agora \u00e9 oficialmente uma Unidade de Conserva\u00e7\u00e3o de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o Integral. O decreto que cria o Monumento Natural Itacoatiaras do Ing\u00e1 foi assinado nesta ter\u00e7a-feira (7) pelo governador Jo\u00e3o Azev\u00eado.<\/span><\/p>\n

A iniciativa busca proteger o conjunto de inscri\u00e7\u00f5es rupestres e a rica biodiversidade local, al\u00e9m de incentivar pesquisas cient\u00edficas, a\u00e7\u00f5es de educa\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental e o turismo sustent\u00e1vel na regi\u00e3o. Tamb\u00e9m est\u00e3o previstas medidas para a conserva\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1reas de Caatinga e Mata Atl\u00e2ntica, a redu\u00e7\u00e3o de carbono atmosf\u00e9rico (CO\u2082) e a preserva\u00e7\u00e3o de trechos do Rio Ing\u00e1, fundamentais para as comunidades do Agreste paraibano.<\/span><\/p>\n

O Governo do Estado, por meio da Suplan, vai investir mais de R$ 29,3 milh\u00f5es na implanta\u00e7\u00e3o da infraestrutura do monumento. O projeto prev\u00ea espa\u00e7os de recep\u00e7\u00e3o e exposi\u00e7\u00e3o, lojas de souvenir, salas educativas e de pesquisa, alojamentos, restaurante, laborat\u00f3rio e uma exposi\u00e7\u00e3o permanente dedicada \u00e0 hist\u00f3ria e \u00e0 arte rupestre do local.<\/span><\/p>\n

Para o governador Jo\u00e3o Azev\u00eado, o novo status representa um passo definitivo na valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o do patrim\u00f4nio natural e cultural da Para\u00edba. \u201cEssa \u00e9 uma interven\u00e7\u00e3o grandiosa e definitiva, que iremos realizar com recursos pr\u00f3prios, para dotar o Monumento Natural Itacoatiaras do Ing\u00e1 de toda a infraestrutura necess\u00e1ria. Vamos receber turistas do Brasil e do exterior com conforto, preservando e fiscalizando a \u00e1rea com responsabilidade\u201d, destacou o governador.<\/span><\/p>\n

A secret\u00e1ria de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade, Rafaela Camaraense, refor\u00e7ou que a cria\u00e7\u00e3o da unidade de conserva\u00e7\u00e3o marca um avan\u00e7o na preserva\u00e7\u00e3o e no desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel. \u201cAl\u00e9m da prote\u00e7\u00e3o garantida por lei, teremos condi\u00e7\u00f5es de atrair mais visitantes para conhecer um lugar \u00fanico, que faz parte da hist\u00f3ria da humanidade. \u00c9 uma obra que une conserva\u00e7\u00e3o, ci\u00eancia e turismo\u201d, afirmou.<\/span><\/p>\n
