Um power bank pegou fogo durante o voo KL735 da KLM, que fazia a rota entre Amsterd\u00e3, na Holanda, e Cura\u00e7ao, no Caribe, no dia 17 de setembro. O incidente ocorreu cerca de cinco horas e meia ap\u00f3s a decolagem, quando a aeronave sobrevoava o Oceano Atl\u00e2ntico, e levou o comandante a interromper a viagem e retornar ao Aeroporto de Schiphol.<\/p>\n

Segundo informa\u00e7\u00f5es divulgadas por ve\u00edculos especializados em avia\u00e7\u00e3o e pela imprensa internacional, a tripula\u00e7\u00e3o conseguiu controlar rapidamente o princ\u00edpio de inc\u00eandio. O avi\u00e3o, um Boeing 777-300, permaneceu aproximadamente 11 horas no ar entre a sa\u00edda de Amsterd\u00e3 e o retorno ao aeroporto holand\u00eas. Ap\u00f3s o pouso, os passageiros desembarcaram e foram reacomodados em outros voos.<\/p>\n

Power bank pertenceria a ex-CEO da KLM<\/h5>\n

O carregador port\u00e1til seria de Camiel Eurlings, ex-presidente e CEO da KLM. De acordo com as informa\u00e7\u00f5es publicadas sobre o caso, o dispositivo estava com o executivo enquanto ele dormia. Eurlings teria sofrido ferimentos leves durante o incidente.<\/p>\n

Eurlings esteve \u00e0 frente da KLM entre 2013 e 2014, segundo fontes consultadas, e anteriormente ocupou o cargo de ministro dos Transportes da Holanda. A associa\u00e7\u00e3o do power bank ao ex-executivo foi divulgada por diferentes ve\u00edculos, mas a companhia a\u00e9rea n\u00e3o confirmou publicamente sua identidade.<\/p>\n

Regras para power banks em avi\u00f5es<\/h5>\n

O epis\u00f3dio chama aten\u00e7\u00e3o para as regras relacionadas ao transporte e ao uso de baterias de l\u00edtio durante viagens a\u00e9reas. Segundo as normas informadas pela KLM, passageiros podem levar at\u00e9 dois power banks a bordo, desde que sejam transportados na bagagem de m\u00e3o e permane\u00e7am em local vis\u00edvel.<\/p>\n

A companhia tamb\u00e9m determina que os carregadores port\u00e1teis n\u00e3o sejam utilizados ou recarregados durante o voo. As restri\u00e7\u00f5es est\u00e3o relacionadas ao risco de superaquecimento e inc\u00eandio associado \u00e0s baterias de l\u00edtio.<\/p>\n

Segundo incidente com power bank em voo da KLM<\/h5>\n

Este \u00e9 o segundo caso recente envolvendo um power bank em uma aeronave da KLM. Em agosto de 2025, um carregador port\u00e1til pegou fogo durante o voo KL792, que havia decolado do Aeroporto de Guarulhos, em S\u00e3o Paulo, com destino a Amsterd\u00e3.<\/p>\n

Na ocasi\u00e3o, o equipamento estava dentro da mochila de um passageiro e o superaquecimento provocou intensa fuma\u00e7a na cabine. A tripula\u00e7\u00e3o conseguiu controlar a ocorr\u00eancia e o voo prosseguiu normalmente at\u00e9 a Holanda, sem necessidade de altera\u00e7\u00e3o da rota.<\/p>\n

Os dois epis\u00f3dios refor\u00e7am a import\u00e2ncia de seguir as orienta\u00e7\u00f5es das companhias a\u00e9reas para o transporte de power banks e outros equipamentos que utilizam baterias de l\u00edtio durante as viagens.<\/p>\n
